About Us

DUWE kaftans is the result of something we’ve been dreaming about doing for a long time. Probably ever since Beata was old enough to steal clothes from her mother, Agneta, we’ve talked about how fun it would be to be able to do something together. We both share a love for effortlessly chic and comfortable clothing that makes you feel amazing, regardless if you’re planning to spend the weekend on the countryside or at the beach. The result is DUWE kaftans, and we hope you love what we make as much as we love doing it.

We are Agneta Berg and Beata Berg, and we are the mother-daughter duo designers and creators of DUWE kaftans. We've lived a majority of our lives in Borås, the textile capital of Sweden. Now, Agneta lives in Espevik just outside of the cosy west coast surf town of Varberg, and Beata lives on Södermalm in Stockholm and spends part of her time in Amsterdam with her boyfriend.

Agneta has worked in fashion all her life, as a designer and buyer for a range of national and international clothing and shoe brands. Beata just finished her master’s degree in marketing and is currently working as a PR consultant at a Stockholm-based PR-firm.

All our kaftans are named after women we admire and are inspired by.
